Women & Infants Midwifery Unit

The Women & Infants Midwifery Unit, formerly known as the Alternative Birthing Center (ABC), offers people with low-risk pregnancies the option to give birth with minimal intervention in a warm, home-like setting.

Located within the hospital next to the Women & Infants Labor and Delivery Center, the two-room Midwifery Unit allows for a quick transfer if additional care is needed. Each private birthing room offers plenty of space to move, a private bathroom with a large soaking tub, and amenities designed to help you stay comfortable and relaxed during labor, birth, and recovery. A large family space is also available for family members, a doula, and other support people during your labor and birth.
