Women & Infants Hospital is the major teaching hospital in women's health care for The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The hospital is committed to training medical students, residents, and fellows and offers several fellowships for advanced specialty training. The Breast Health Center offers a one-year fellowship in breast disease accredited by the Society of Surgical Oncologists (SSO). This fellowship accepts two fellows per year and is offered to surgically-trained physicians who have completed a residency in their specialty (i.e., general surgery, ObGyn, plastics).
All interested candidates are required to submit their applications electronically to the Society of Surgical Oncologists (SSO).
To foreign applicants from a general surgery residency who require visa sponsorship: Regretfully, per ECFMG, since we are an ObGyn residency hospital that does not have a general surgery residency program, we are not able to sponsor visas for those applying from a general surgery residency.
Per SSO, applications are only accepted from December 19, 2022 to January 20, 2023.
Interview dates are April 12, 2023 and May 15, 2023.
General Surgery Residency completed at Kaweah Delta Health Care District of Visalia, California.
