Pregnancy is a time of change and new experiences. You experience feelings, both physical and emotional that you may have never experienced before. It is a big change in all areas of your life. It is also a learning experience for you, your partner, and your family. To help you prepare, we offer educational classes in multiple languages, including childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, newborn care, and more.
Our Babysitting Academy is designed to teach girls and boys to become responsible babysitters. Taught by certified educators, this course includes babysitting responsibilities, child growth and development, childcare, activities for children, positive discipline techniques, accident prevention and safety, and First Aid and CPR training.

Our breastfeeding class teaches expectant parents everything they need to know to breastfeed/chest feed their baby. Taught by certified educators, this class covers the benefits of breastfeeding/chestfeeding for the birth parent and baby, preparing for nursing, breastfeeding/chestfeeding techniques and positions, pumping and storing breast/human milk, and advice for partners.

The American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. This is a non-certification course geared for the lay public looking for basic knowledge for personal use. A student manual with a course completion card is provided.
Class cost is $30.00 per participant. (Registration is required for each person attending this class).
