Linda Hunter, CNM, EdD, FACNM, is an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a member of the academic midwifery service at Women & Infants Hospital. In this role, she actively participates in the clinical education of medical students, and ob/gyn and family medicine residents. Her past midwifery experiences include private practice as a certified nurse midwife in New London, CT and faculty appointments at the University of Vermont College of Medicine where she has maintained and adjunct faculty appointment at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Currently, Dr. Hunter is a contributing clinical rounds editor for the Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health and the president-elect of the American Midwifery Certification Board.
She was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Nurse-Midwives in 2013 and lectured extensively on a variety of women's health and clinical education topics.
