Star B. Hampton, MD, specializes in non-surgical and surgical approaches to pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, including minimally invasive options for pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Hampton takes an active part in the academic growth of her field.

She lectures locally and nationally on pelvic floor disorders and medical education, has been awarded national research grants, and has authored numerous manuscripts.

Dr. Hampton is committed to teaching physicians-in-training from the medical student to fellow level, and has won many local and national teaching awards. She is very active at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University as the director of the clerkship in obstetrics and gynecology. In addition,

Dr. Hampton also holds an interest in international women's health outreach, sits on the board of the International Organization for Women and Development, and takes part in yearly missions to sub-Saharan Africa for women in need of reconstructive surgery.
