Biography

Margaret Howard, PhD, is the division director of the Center for Women’s Behavioral Health and director of the Day Hospital. She is associate fellowship director for the Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital Women’s Mental Health Fellowship.

Dr. Howard is a professor of psychiatry and human behavior (clinical) and medicine (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University. Dr. Howard‘s primary clinical and research interests are postpartum depression, depression and anxiety disorders during pregnancy, trauma, OCD, and novel treatment approaches in both prevention and treatment of perinatal mood disorders.
