is the director of inpatient obstetrics at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island and assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. O’Brien has been named a Best Doctor in American for the past seven years. In 2014, Dr. O’Brien received the Edward J. Quinlan Award for Patient Safety Excellence from the Hospital Association of Rhode Island on behalf of his team for their work on "Elimination of Elective Delivery at Less than 39 Weeks Gestation."
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. O’Brien completed a residency at Women & Infants Hospital/Brown University. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Providence Medical Society and the Rhode Island Medical Society.
