W. Scott Walker, MD
was raised in San Antonio, TX. He attended college at Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude in biology.
After attending medical school at University of Texas Southwestern and graduating with alpha omega alpha honors, he received his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He has been in private practice in Rhode Island since 1988, and is a clinical assistant professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He has received numerous teaching awards at Women & Infants Hospital, has been named a “Top Doc in RI” by RI Monthly Magazine eight times, and is associate director of the Robotic Surgery Program at Women & Infants. Hobbies include sailing, music and tennis.
Dr. Walker has been named a 2012 Top Doc in Gynecology/Obstetrics by Rhode Island Monthly magazine.
