received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and attended medical school at Columbia University in New York City. Following this, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Connecticut in Farmington.
Dr. Frishman joined the Division of Endocrinology Reproductive and Infertility at Women & Infants in 1991.
Dr. Frishman is actively involved in surgical societies and has served on the Board of the AAGL, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. He has been appointed to the Residency Review Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and has served as president of both The Society of Reproductive Surgeons and the Council on Gynecologic Excellence. He is the deputy editor of the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. He previously served as the American representative on the International Editorial Board for the UK journal: The Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and currently serves as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He runs several LISTSERV’s including AAGL-ENDO-EXCHANGE with more than 6,000 members.
Dr. Frishman has been named a U.S. News Top Doctor and a 2012 Top Doc in Reproductive Endocrinology by Rhode Island Monthly magazine.
