Internship is defined as a work experience for which you will be receiving course credit through a college, university or technical/ training program. These experiences usually involve a minimum of 10 hours per week in the hospital for the course of a semester. You must be entering your Junior or Senior year for the semester for which you are applying.
Timeline for Summer and Fall 2015 Internships
- The deadline for summer semester internship applications has passed.
- Submit internship specifications and resume by July 17, 2015
Placements will need to be finalized by August 7, 2015
Group Interview Session Dates for Fall 2015:
- Stay tuned for June date
- Additional sessions will be added this summer for fall semester, as needed.
To apply for an internship at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, please email Volunteer Services at firstname.lastname@example.org with the specifications listed below and attach a copy of your resume. To consider your request we need all the following information within the time frame specified above:
- Dates of Internship: Start and end dates
- Number of weekly hours required
- Course Name
- Subject/Field of study
- Overall Learning objectives (specify 2)
- No. of credits
Part of the application process is an interview. Group Interviews will be held on the dates listed above. You will need to register for one of those sessions if you are notified that your application may be suited for one of our internship opportunities. We cannot offer you an internship until you are fully aware of your availability weekdays during the internship time frame. The dates of the interviews are set in the timeline we would expect your schedule to be established.
