Our Mission: The Volunteer Services Department is committed to integrating community volunteers into roles which provide exemplary customer service to meet the hospital's priorities and mission. No matter what area you may volunteer in, it is essential that our volunteers take pride in their work and meet the time commitment agreed upon, work effectively with other others, present a positive attitude through their actions and, most importantly, focus on the customers they serve - be they patients, visitors or coworkers.
We welcome volunteer involvement in areas of the hospital where they can support customer service initiatives and our busy health care staff. Current needs and priorities reflect those of a large and dynamic health care organization. Volunteer opportunities may include escorting and guiding patients and visitors, assisting in clinical and non-clinical areas and supporting administrative functions.
Adult Volunteers: Women & Infants' adult volunteer program is comprised of women and men who see the health care environment as a place where they can make a difference. Overall, our volunteers provide customer service either in an office setting or with patients and guests.Teen Volunteer: Students who have completed at least one year of high school and have aspirations to pursue a career in health care or want to make a difference in their community can learn about our Teen Volunteer Program.
Internships: Internships are defined as a non-clinical work experience for which you will be receiving course credit through a college, university or training program.
