More Information on Education at W&I - Virtual Tour

Education is available in a variety of ways, including individual training, written information, education clinics, and the Newborn Channel. The Newborn Channel is available in all patient rooms in the hospital. Written information is available at your request.

Your nurse will assess how your baby is progressing with breastfeeding and can make a referral to the lactation consultant.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Care New England is available for follow-up care after you leave the hospital.

The Warm Line is a free resource for new families. You will receive a a postpartum call within 48 hours of discharge. You may also receive a visit from the Warm Line staff while you are in hospital.

The Warm Line is staffed by registered nurses who are lactation consultants and nurse practitioners. We are available Monday - Friday, 9am-9pm and weekends, 9am-5pm. You are welcome to call at anytime. Please leave your name and telephone number and you will receive a return call within one hour during the times listed above.
