Healthcare Information Technology

The PHO continues to focus on educating and facilitating our members with Electronic Medical Records(EMR) adoption. The adoption of EMR's and other tools for managing healthcare information is no longer a "wait-and-see" budget issue, but a current "cost-of-doing business". We are the designated liaison for community based EMR interfaces to the CNE IT System. The PHO is also involved in the leadership of State-wide HIT initiatives including the RIQI HIT Physician Advisory Committee.

The PHO continues to be a leader in EMR, supporting Rhode Island physicians with EMR adoption, as a co-founder of Electronic Health Records of RI (EHRRI), which is a "value-add" reseller of the eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR and Practice Management Software Solution.

Additionally, the PHO has a valuable discount arrangement with Ingenix/Caretracker to support physicians EMR adoption.

The PHO has the resources to help you & your practice prepare for the transition to EMR:

  • Practice Assessment

  • Project Planning Expertise

  • Preferred EMR Vendor Relationships
