A patient training guide
Life is busy and we don’t always have time to find our health records or those of our children or parents.
Care New England is making this easier with our new online personal health record, CNme. Through CNme you can get your personal health information free on our secure site at any time, from any Internet connection around the world. Only you or someone you trust, like a relative or caregiver, can see your information.
We can sign you up for CNme quickly and easily during your hospital visit. You’ll be able to manage your health in one easy and secure online location.
It’s easy to use CNme. As a Care New England patient, you’ll can:
- See a summary of your record
- See select lab results
- View select clinical documents
- Send secure messages to select health care providers who are part of CNme
- View the instructions you are given when you’re sent home from the hospital
- Print and download your medical record
Your health record
Your health record includes information from your Women & Infants and Kent hospitals electronic medical record. It is broken down into these sections: Clinical Record Summary, Lab Results, Discharge Information, Medication List, and Procedures. There is also a Download My Record section where you can download your record to see or print it and another version that you can upload into another provider’s certified electronic medical record.
We are testing a messaging service so you can send secure messages to some doctors at Women & Infants and Kent hospitals. If your doctor is part of this test program, you will find his or her name in a drop down box under the “send” option in the Secure Messaging window. If you need to get in touch with your doctor fast, do not send a message. Call the doctor’s office.
Checking messagesWhen you log into CNme, you are taken to Care New England/CNme homepage. Click My Secure Messaging and click Inbox. This will show you any messages you have, even if you’ve already read them. To see one, click on it.
When you get a new message, CNme will send an email alert message to your email address.
More questions? If you have more questions about using CNme, call (877) 621-8014. This support line is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Log into CNme at cne.iqhealth.com.
If you want to register for CNme after you are sent home from the hospital, print out the attached form and mail to the Medical Records Department.
