Women & Infants Hospital offers laboratory services - both routine and specialized testing related to women's health - with a strong commitment to quality, customer service and timely results.

Women & Infants' laboratory is a fully accredited (CAP, CLIA, AABB), comprehensive diagnostic facility. Staffed by qualified pathologists, technologists, technicians, phlebotomists and support personnel, the laboratory operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Women & Infants is recognized by most major third-party payers for reimbursement of laboratory services.

  • Enhancement of the accuracy of pap smear screening, as well as gonorrhea and chlamydia screening methods, using the latest technologies
  • Comprehensive AFP PLUS ® Quad prenatal testing, a recent breakthrough pioneered by Women & Infants, which tests for four markers: AFP, hCG, estriol and inhibin-A. Genetic counseling is available upon request as part of this program.
