The pathologists and other team members who deliver services have a specialized focus and depth of experience in women's and children's health.
A major teaching affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Women & Infants' laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of pathologists, clinical laboratory specialists, clinical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists and support personnel who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are committed to quality, customer service and timely results.

- A prospective, multidisciplinary tumor board, which can evaluate abnormal pap smears in conjunction with biopsies
- Referrals to Women & Infants' Integrated Program for High-Risk Pregnancies, including our team of maternal-fetal medicine specialists and genetic counselors, for follow-up prenatal testing and diagnosis
- Phlebotomists who have special expertise in caring for neonates, oncology and other special-needs patients
